After discovering wonders like the Pena National Palace and the beautiful Quinta da Regaleira, we’ll take you on a relaxing journey passing through Cabo da Roca and ending at the coastal splendor of Cascais. Of the six magnificent Sintra wonders suggested in the itinerary, you will have the magical experience of visiting three of your choice, and if you select the Skip-The-Line option, tickets for Pena Palace are included! What To Expect

1. National Palace of Queluz This palace, once a 17th century hunting lodge, has been transformed into a summer palace in the rococo style. The palace gardens are splendid and decorated with statues and fountains. A true refinement that takes us back to past centuries of luxury and court parties. 1 hour

2. Quinta da Regaleira Moving forward we have the stunning Quinta da Regaleira. This yet another UNESCO-listed site has anciently carved buildings, incredible gardens and a gothic breeze that will enchant anyone who dares to enter. Full of history behind it, you will learn all about the caves, secret wells and art that originated from the Masonry, the Templars and the Rose Cross. 1 hour

3. Parque e Palacio de Monserrate This magnificent property is a jungle of exotic trees and flowering shrubs. Its’ history dates back to the time of the Moors, but it was named after a small 16th century chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Monteserrat, from Catalonia, Spain. 1 hour

4. Centro Historico de Sintra Before moving towards Cabo da Roca, You may want take a stroll through the historical center of Sintra. This is a good time to rest, lunch and try out some traditional regional pastries. You'll enjoy one hour of free time! 1 hour

5. Park and National Palace of Pena The 19th-century Romantic palace is a wonder to discover and one you will not soon forget. It is one of the best places to take pictures. It’s placed high on top of the mountain with a splendid view that stretches for miles, all the way to the Ocean. 1 hour 30 minutes

6. Sintra National Palace In the heart of the village of Sintra, a pair of unusual conical chimneys rise above the Royal Palace. This Palace became the favourite summer retreat of the court and continued, as the residence of the Portuguese royalty, until the 1980s. The gradual reconstruction of the palace resulted in a fascinating amalgam of styles. 1 hour

7. Castelo dos Mouros As you stroll through the beautiful and exotic landscape, your guide will give you historical and architectural details on the region but letting you explore the monuments on your own. Later we continue through the National Park onwards to see the Moorish Castle and Montserrate Palace. 1 hour

8. Cabo da Roca We'll finish off with Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Continental Europe, is yet another great spot to take some pictures and feel the sea breeze. 15 minutes

9. Cascais After more than a century as a holiday resort, Cascais has a certain notoriety that more recent resorts lack. Its history is visible in the villas along the coast. The sheltered sandy bay was once a prehistoric fishing port. 15 minutes

Quinta da Regaleira…. Initiating well… most beautiful of them all. All green and stone. We were in love … astonishing beauty. Our guide, Mehdi was nice, helpful , and even we were tired he made the trip worth taking.

Fernando was an excellent guide who contacted us the day before to see if we had any requests. He accommodated us and picked us up and dropped us off at our Airbnb. We learned so much about the history of the Palaces. Despite the foggy wet weather we had a fabulous trip.

Nono was the perfect knowledgeable, patient tour guide. As a older person he was considerate of my limited walking ability. He made history fun, especially with his humor. All four of us simply loved Nuno our tour driver and Host.
