Overview

Mount Batur Sunrise Hike and Optional Natural Hot Spring is a combine package between sunrise trek and Optional soaking hot spring or other activities in one day. What is the highlight? 1. Hike up the stunning Mount Batur on an early sunrise trek to its summit with experiences local guide. 2. Watch the sunrise from the peak of volcano and explore crater from 1804 to 1949. 3. Enjoying a well-earned breakfast with a cup of Hot Drink at the top while you watch the brilliant colors of sunrise. 4. Top off your active morning with a soak in a natural hot spring and an invigorating coffee taste before ahead to hotel (Optional) 5. You can add optional trip such as Swing, Waterfall and other activities in one day. Upon arrival at base camp, get a short introduction and safety briefing from your guide. Before and after your hike up to the summit 1,5 hours, you can relax in our the Mt. Batur base camp lounge, the only one base camp around the area with clean and comfortable toilet facility.

Driver (Wira) & guide were great! Both very warm & welcoming. Trip well organised, everything was taken care of. Hike was at our own pace, but would say some level of fitness is required due to the steep nature of the trail up. View fully worth it though. As was the Hot Springs afterwards. Would thoroughly recommend.

Awesome sunrise hike

Awesome sunrise hike with even better views from the top. The driver, Ajik Ngakan, picked us up at the hotel in Ubud exactly on time and took us to the starting point. There we met our guide Gede Angga who brought us tea and coffee. He also gave us water, flashlight, and a walking stick for the hike. Gede was really nice and helpful throughout the hike. Just before reaching the top he also served us one more hot drink and breakfast. There is a lot of people hiking the mountain so it can be quite busy on top, but our guide took us to a great spot for watching and photographing the sunrise with not many people around and also took our pictures. After the hike the driver took us back to the hotel and even from the car there were a lot of great views of rice terraces and palm trees. All in all a great hike, one of the best things to do in Bali.

Booked a Sunrise Tour of Mount Batur with Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking which I found on Trip Advisor. Communication from the start was great and I was kept informed of pick up time. Our driver Putu Yudi picked me up from my hotel in Canggu as arranged. He was very friendly and navigated the busy traffic with ease. Our guide was Gede Angga. What can I say about Gede?!? He is super friendly, funny, attentive and made sure we got up and down Mount Batur safely. Gede had a good spot for the sunrise. He is a gem. We stopped off for breakfast which Gede carried and prepared, of warm breakfast sandwich, boiled eggs, fruit and cereal bar, when we were almost at the top. It was much busier than I expected but didn’t feel over crowded due to the different tours staggering where they start. Take layers as it can be colder to start and then again at the top but warm coming down. Also, wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty with the volcanic ash. Make sure you book this trip!! It really is wonderful. The photos don’t do it justice.
