Meeting Point

Meet by the LOUIS XIV statue in front of the pyramid of the Louvre Museum. Meet your guide outside of the museum by the statue of the king Louis XIV riding his horse. The statue is the only statue situated in front of the main entrance pyramid of the Louvre museum.

1. Louvre Museum From its roots as a fortress to its days as a royal residence, the Louvre has more secrets than any other building in Paris could boast. Today, the museum is home to 35,000 pieces of art to discover on top of its rich architectural history. This semi-private tour is designed to help first timers navigate all that the Louvre has to offer, as well as surprise those who think they know it all. See statues such as the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace. Discuss paintings by Delacroix and Michelangelo, explore the underground Medieval Moat, and take in the opulent Apollo Gallery. From the Mona Lisa to the 19th-century masters, your guide will show you what you need to see at the Louvre, as well as a few special treats along the way. 2 hours 30 minutes

Some specific rooms inside the museum are subjected to a very quiet or restricted right to speak inside, in this cases your guide will provide the information about this places before entering the specific rooms where this rule applies. Some collections may vary along the year.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

A Fantastic Tour with Simon

We took the guided tour and our tour guide was a gentleman named Simon who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the arts. He taught us about so many different things and took us through the various highlights of the Louvre in a very efficient manner. We felt engaged the entire time and he does a fantastic job of ensuring that everyone’s interests within the group are acknowledged. Would highly recommend him to anyone else interested in taking a tour.

This was a wonderfully easy and very informative way to get introduced to some of the Louvre highlights. Our guide, Marcel, was very knowledgeable and bit the art into cultural, artistic and political context. Would definitely recommend both the tour and Marcel in particular!

Andreina was wonderful! She was passionate, animated and well-versed on everything inside and out about Le Louvre! Super friendly and also goes at the perfect pace. The tour went by so fast because she made it so enjoyable due to her vast knowledge and love of the European art history. Would take a tour with her again in a heartbeat!
