Overview

Eli’s Original Eco tour is Antigua’s oldest Eco tour. We spend a full day in the North Sound of Antigua where we have 22 uninhabited pristine offshore islands. Learn about the eco systems & the history of the different islands in this protected area. Also the turtle project at Jumby Bay, the reef ball system at Maiden Island, the beautiful and important Mangrove system of Guiana Island & much more. There are two snorkeling sessions (& a snorkel lesson for those who need) a beach stop at Bird Island where you might get a chance to see one our indigenous & endangered (nonpoisonous) Antigua Racer Snake. We also visit Hells Gate Island for a snorkel or a climb through a small cave-like structure that goes through the island & comes out over a natural bridge on top – seeing the Atlantic Ocean on one side & Caribbean Sea on the other. Local lunch and drinks are all included in the tour which is great for all ages!

What To Expect

1. Great Bird Island Swim, snorkel, birdwatch, lunch 1 hour 30 minutes

2. Hell's Gate Snorkel, swim, caving, climbing. 1 hour

3. Long Bay At Long Bay island also known as Jumby bay island, we anchor up in the bay and crew does a 10min talk about the Turtle Project that has been going for over 30 years - amazing knowledge about these incredibly interesting reptiles 10 minutes

4. Antigua We also pass Guiana Island and do a 5min talk about the beautiful and extremely important Mangrove system that is a safehouse for many juvenile fish and sea creatures plus more

I enjoyed the tour,I am not a boat lover but my hubby loves them so decided to book it. The boat was actually great, the crew were very good and able to bring it really close to shore, and the steps were easy to climb aboard. The crew easy to call them triple A,not sure how to spell their names all beginning with A, they were helpful and knowledgeable, gave lots of info about turtles, we were able to go for a small hike over hells gate and show us the mangroves. Ariel’s home made banana loaf was lovely as was the lunch,although not so good for myself as I have allergy to garlic, but hubby enjoyed the chicken and pasta. I think my only disappointment was I didn’t get to study or learn about many birds, but still a good trip.

Great tour with Arion (the captain), Ariel and Adino. They treated all of us very well and taught us some interesting information about the ecological projects and general history of Antigua. Snorkeling was good, especially if you're a beginner. It was an enjoyable tour. Big RESPECT to the A team.

A great birthday experience

I had a great experience. The Captain Leslie and Ariel were amazing! You can choose to swim or hike and the whole boat chose to hike. I was nervous going into a cave being claustrophobic but I am glad I did it! Your only inside a cave for 5 mins but it’s beautiful you get to take pictures. You see the beautiful water inside and a lot of creatures like birds and we saw a crab. I am afraid of heights so climbing on rocks to get to the cliff was scary. They advise wear good shoes that have straps! They provide you water shoes if needed. The climbing was not extensive and all ages can do it. So many different age groups were on the trip and doing the climbing with no difficulties. The snorkeling at the end was a beautiful experience my mother saw a lot of sea life. We did see a turtle and stingray on the boat. The end we had food which was HOMEMADE AND DELICIOUS!!!! The rum punch was delicious! You will def enjoy

Excellent boat tour. The snorkeling was awesome! The crew went above and beyond to ensure a great time and shared lots of great information. Very easy to walk to their boat from the cruise ship. A wonderful trip all the way around.
