Overview

Visit Tangkuban Parahu Volcano which is still active, that you can see the crater closely, smell sulfur and see a puff of smoke from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Volcano. On the way to volcano, you will pass through a vast expanse of tea plantations and we will pass the local village with a vast expanse of rice fields around it. You can see the activities of farmers planting and plowing rice fields and even harvesting rice in the fields. Before returning to Jakarta, do not miss to relax and soaking in a hot spring whose water comes from the crater of Tangkuban Parahu Vulcano, after that try to explore Fruit Market and try fresh local fruit such as : the Mangostins & Honey Pineapples.

Free pick-up and drop-off in the Jakarta City Area. There is an extra charge for pick-up/drop-off at the airport/hotel near the airport/BSD City/other City.

What To Expect

1. Visit one of the biggest fruit markets in Bandung, and taste fresh honey pineapple which is the famous original fruit from this area. You can try other tropical fruits such as mangosteen, rambutan, snakeskin fruit, etc. 30 minutes

2. Subang Visit the local village and rice field to see the real activity of local people and farmers planting, caring and harvesting rice. 30 minutes

3. Tangkuban Perahu Visit one of the active volcanoes located in West Java Province. Surrounded by tropical rain forests (sometimes you can see a wild monkey around the rain forest) and lush pine trees. You will see the crater of the Active volcano closely, smell the sulfur, see a puff of smoke from the crater and even be able to hear the original sound of an active volcano at certain spots. 2 hours

4. Lembang Stop at a local restaurant for a break and have lunch with Sundanese Cuisine. Then, visit the Local Coffee production center and learn about the production process of one of the best coffees in Indonesia. 45 minutes

5. Malabar Tea Plantations Visiting a huge tea plantation located in an active volcano area, Explore tea Plantation to find out about the history, how to grow, types of tea and how to harvest tea (don't forget to take some pictures before leaving this beautiful huge tea plantation). 45 minutes

6. Ciater Hot Spring After a long day visiting many beautiful places in the active volcano area, it's time to relax your legs and body in the hot spring area before heading back to Jakarta. Enjoy the warm sulfur water, which is good for healing rheumatism and skin problems. You can soak your legs/full body and enjoy a local body massage. (No Bikinis in this area, you can't swim here). Don't miss trying the best local/traditional massage from West Java offered by well-trained local people at affordable prices. 1 hour

If you ever find yourself in Jakarta, embarking on a tour like this is highly recommended! Bryan and Mami were not only punctual in picking us up from our hotel, but they also took the time to guide us through the peaceful countryside of Jakarta, all while explaining the local traditions of the area. Our adventure ranged from the calm rice fields and tea plantations to the thunderous sounds of the active Tangkuban Parahu volcano. We indulged in a delicious lunch near Badung and tasted the rich local fruits at the vibrant street markets. The unique experience of savoring Luwak coffee and relaxing in the comforting hot springs was second to none. You can be certain that you will not head back to Jakarta disappointed!

Vincent was an amazing guide! Walked us through each step of the tour and was able to accommodate to specific needs if necessary. The travel to the volcano is about 3 hours each way and can be bumpy. Rest stops are made to help out. Overall great day trip with an amazing guide.

Benny was an unbelievable tour guide and spoke amazing English. He took us to so many places around Jakarta that weren’t full of tourists and allowed us to experience various tastes of Indonesia. The only thing that I’d recommend is remembering to barter when buying goods without a price tag on them.
