Overview

The Times UK said: "The waters around Antigua teem with marine life, and none is more impressive than the southern stingray, which can grow up to a width of 5 feet." This is wonderful tour to discover Antigua and all the great things there are. In Stingray City, the city of Stingray, you will be able to pet, photograph and feed these peaceful animals. They are not caged or in captivity, but free in their natural habitat. No need to worry: it's not necessary to be a swimmer because here the water is shallow. The depth is less than 5 feet. Are you afraid to get sunburned? Don't worry, we'll provide you 50 UPF RASH GUARDS. Next we will continue to Devil's Bridge, a natural bridge carved into the rock. Then we will relax on the beautiful Long Bay beach, where it will also be possible to snorkel. We will have lunch in a typical restaurant, savouring local cuisine then the open-air museum of Betty's Hope and its mills where slaves used to work are waiting for us.

What To Expect

1. Stingray City We will start our day visiting Stingray City, where you can pet, photograph, and feed these peaceful animals in the middle of the sea. 1 hour 50 minutes

2. Devil's Bridge After this unique experience, we will discover all the best spots on the Atlantic Side of Antigua, starting from the Devil’s Bridge. 20 minutes

3. Long Bay Then we will relax in Long Bay, a beautiful beach where it will also be possible to snorkel. 1 hour 20 minutes

4. Seatons We will have lunch in a typical Antiguan restaurant and taste the real Antigua cuisine. 40 minutes

5. Betty's Hope We will visit the open-air museum of Betty’s Hope: this is a sugar plantation site where one of the two sugar mill towers has been fully restored complete with sails. With a small interpretation centre and interpretation signage throughout the estate, this heritage landmark is well worth a visit. Betty’s Hope was one of the earliest sugar plantations, dating to 1651. 20 minutes

DO THIS TRIP! It was amazing. We were picked up, shown multiple sites around the island and the best part was the Sting Ray City with playing/petting/feeding the stingrays!

The stingrays tour was such a cool and unique experience!! Even for those who don’t like the ocean! This tour was amazing because our tour guide made us feel safe as she was with us the entire tour! Greta was so sweet and nice!

Lovely trip! Would definitely recommend it to families, couples and/or solo travellers like me. Giuliana is super knowledgeable, sociable and speaks multiple languages (including Italian) that makes communication very easy. She knows the island very well and tells you insights and stories that makes the tour informative, entertaining and fun. The highlight, needless to say, was sting ray city! What an experience! The rest of the tour with long beach (I got to swim with sea turtles), devil's bridge and Betty's hope were all incredible sites. I would definitelybrecommend this tour and would do it again!

Such a great day and would highly recommend for anyone that wants to see a few historical sites and the stingray experience. We opted to be picked up from our hotel. Our tour guide Greta was very helpful and informative, picked us up on time and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely use this company again when we are next in the area.
