What To Expect

1. Acropolis Sightseeing in Athens starts with the hill of Acropolis which will make your day. On the historical hill, you will have the opportunity to see the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of the Athena Nike, the monumental gateway (Propylaea), the Erechtheum and of course the famous Parthenon, the main temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena. 1 hour 30 minutes

2. Propylaea The Propylaea is the monumental entrances to the sacred area dedicated to Athena, the patron goddess of the city. Built by the architect Mnesicles with Pentelic marble, their design was avant-garde. To the south-west of the Propylaea, on a rampart protecting the main entrance to the Acropolis, is the Ionian temple of Apteros Nike.

3. Parthenon Parthenon, the main temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena, the eternal symbol of the Athenian Democracy and the werstern civilization. 10 minutes

4. Eretteo Temple of Poseidon and Athena, the strangest and most sacred place in ancient Athens.

5. Tempio Di Athena Nike Temple dedicated to the goddess Athena Nike or Wingless Victory.

6. Teatro Di Dioniso The Theatre of Dionysus Elefthereus is a major theatre in Athens, considered to be the world's first theatre, built at the foot of the Athenian Acropolis

7. Herod Atticus Odeon The Odeon of Herodes Atticus is a stone Roman theater structure located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis of Athens, Greece. The building was completed in 161 AD and then renovated in 1950.

8. Tempio Di Zeus Olimpio After the Acropolis, we will head towards the Temple of Zeus, the biggest in antiquity, devoted to the King of the Gods,by way of Hadrian's Arch. 30 minutes

9. Panathenaic Stadium We will visit Panathenaic Stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. 20 minutes

10. Mount Lycabettus Then moving into the historical center of the city we will drive up the highest hill of Athens, Lycabettus Hill, where you’ll have the best panoramic view of the city, from the hill of Acropolis to the Aegean Sea. 15 minutes

11. The Academy of Athens The Academy Building constitutes one of three parts in an “architectural trilogy”. It was founded with the Constitutional Decree of March 18th, 1926, as an Academy of Sciences, Humanities and Fine Arts.

15. Hellenic Parliament The Hellenic Parliament, in Greek known as Voulí ton Ellínon is the parliament of Greece, located in the Old Royal Palace, overlooking Syntagma Square in Athens. The Parliament is the supreme democratic institution that represents the citizens through an elected body of Members of Parliament.

16. Plateia Syntagmatos Syntagma Square is the central square of Athens. The square is named after the Constitution that Otto, the first King of Greece, was obliged to grant after a popular and military uprising on 3 September 1843.

Manos was passionate and knowledgeable about his culture, warm, friendly and professional. He picked us up and dropped us off right on time, and line skipping tickets (30 euros per person) were ready to go. Everything went according to plan. Great job Manos and Olive Sea!

One of the best tours we ever had. Panos was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt. The vehicle we took was clean. All around we would recommend 1000 percent.

Must do experience, no guide needed

This was a great experience. The Acropolis and Parthenon were wonders not to be missed. Tour guides were on strike our day, but our driver, Antonios, kept us informed and entertained the entire time. We were also able to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which was very moving and unexpected.

Great way to see Athens in a few hours

Our tour guide/driver, George, was the perfect guide for the experience! He was friendly, flexible and knowledgeable about the city and had decades of experience. We're not really the sightseeing types but had wanted to take advantage of the key attractions of Athens. We really enjoyed the way he explained the key landmarks, the history and also checked in along the way to make sure we were on the same page based on our expectations and what we wanted to see. Would recommend this private tour for anyone trying to see the important landmarks in one short morning or afternoon without the lines!

This experience was interesting and we learned a lot about the Greeks and saw some very memorable sites.

This tour was great we got the option to get out of the car and take photos and while driving we saw other sites. These other sites were smaller but we still got a lot of information about each and everyone. Our driver was friendly and we couldn’t have had a better experience.
